Clifton A. Morehart, a member of the greatest generation passed away on August 13, 2019 at the age of 94. He was a loving husband of 72 years to Hazel Garms Morehart; father of Linda and husband Norbert Schifferle, Ronald and wife Margaret Morehart and Bradley and wife Patricia Morehart. He was the third born son of 12 siblings of the late Edward and Arthie Red Morehart whose surviving siblings are Benda and husband Roy Shere, Carolyn and husband Joe Marsh, Eugene Morehart, and Edwin Morehart. Dearest grandfather of Melody Tobias, Misty and husband Chad Everett, Daniel Morehart, Zachary Schifferle and fiancé Gabrielle Kerman, Cason Morehart, and Phillip Stewart and wife Tracy; great-grandfather of Chanel Tobias, Kylie Morehart, Zoe Everett, Zane Everett, and Michael Tobias and a mentor to many nieces and nephews. Clifton retired as Postmaster of the Mabelvale US Postal service after 31 years; served 40 years as chairman of the Board of Directors of Martin Cemetery; served over 60 years as an active member of Mabelvale United Methodist Church; was a 1943 graduate of Mabelvale High School, and a graduate of Draughn's Business School. He was the past master of Adoniram Lodge #288 of Mabelvale and served in the US Army from 1946-1947 in Seoul, S. Korea. His legacy as an avid green-thumb gardener is widely known. He raised produce and distributed it for family, friends, and church members consumption and was once featured on local television for raising 14' tall corn plants. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019 with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m. at Mabelvale United Methodist Church with Reverend Bob Marble officiating.
