Patty Thomas Rettig

Patty Thomas Rettig, 91, of Normal, and formerly of Little Rock, Ark.; Cary, Ill.; and Sarasota, Fla., died Sunday (Aug. 4, 2019). Born in Little Rock to Tommye and Ralph Anderson Thomas, she married Raymond Rettig in Little Rock on Aug. 24, 1956, after attending the University of Arkansas and working for the IRS and her uncle, Herbert L. Thomas Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Warine Thomas Bailey. She is survived by son, Rick Rettig, Palatine; daughter, Kathy Spence, Normal; grandsons, Timothy Spence and Hardy and Sutton Rettig; as well as beloved nieces and nephews, Christy Bailey Chilcott, Frank A. Bailey Jr., Sandra Rettig Tagliavia, Michael Rettig and Kevin Rettig. Patty will join Ray in interment in the St. Martha's Memorial Rose Garden, Sarasota.
