Bethene S Kimbrough

Bethene S. Kimbrough 92 of Springdale passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at her home. She was born November 30, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri to Samuel B. and Elizabeth George Shepard. Bethene was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Springdale where she was a founding member of the Builders Sunday School Class, and was a member of United Methodist Women, P.E.O. and Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing, playing games and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Oscar Kimbrough, one daughter, Ann Elizabeth, two brothers, William and Jerry Shepard, one infant grandson and her parents. Survivors include Dr. Randal Kimbrough and wife Marsha of Springdale; two daughters, Anita Hardee and husband Jim of Indiana and Janet Harris and husband Rick of Springdale; eight grandchildren, Dr. Scott Kimbrough and wife Lauren, Amy Kimbrough Mitchell and husband Doug, Rev. Mark Kimbrough and wife Dr. Hannah Kimbrough, John Deines and wife Tara, Dr. Paul Deines. Michael Kraus and wife Rachel, Dr. Riley Harris and wife Dr. Loni Harris and Colin Harris. Memorial services will be Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Andrew C. Thompson and Pastor Mark Kimbrough officiating. Private burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 206 W.
