Joyce Juynne Pearce

Joyce Juynne Pearce, 99, of Springdale passed away Monday, August 13, 2019 at her home. She was born April 12, 1920 in Wirt, Oklahoma to Edwin and Ethel Hale Foster. Joyce was a faithful member of Elmdale Baptist Church for many years. She attended business school for two years after high school; she then went to work for a law office in Shawnee, Oklahoma. When the war began, Joyce went to Washington, D.C. and worked in business. She and her husband E.L. Pearce lived in Japan for three years and then settled in Springdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Lindsey Pearce, two nephews, (Dwayne and EL's brothers son and two great-nephews (Grant and Sherry's son). Survivors include one sister, Phyllis Gene March, one sister-in-law, Lou Dunn; three nieces, one nephew, three great-nieces, two great-nephews, three great-great-nieces and two great-great-nephews. Graveside services will be Monday, August 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Fayetteville National Cemetery. A drop by visitation will take place on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
