Bernice Hoover of Carlisle passed away peacefully at the age of 85 Thursday, August 15, 2019.
Bea was born January 16, 1934, to Curtis and Eva (Morgan) Goldman in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She married her high school sweetheart Wayne Hoover, September 22, 1952, spending sixty-six wonderful years together.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hoover, and her infant son, Phillip Wayne Hoover. Bea was a loving mother to Gwen (Jim) Zimmerman, Cindy (Paul) Wittman, and Steven (Michelle) Hoover; a grandmother to Chris Zimmerman, Phillip Dabbs, Michael Dabbs, Hunter Hoover, and Hadyn (Ashley) Hoover; and a great-grandmother to Zachary Zimmerman, Sally Zimmerman, and Blair Hoover. She is survived by one brother and two sisters. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Hickory Plains Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
