LINDA SCHAFER ALLEN, 70, of North Little Rock, passed away August 14, 2019 after a short but valiant battle with cancer. She was born July 30, 1949 in Lonoke to the late Everett and Clara Mae Larkan Schafer. Linda spent her youth in Lonoke, where she loved spending time at the family farm and with her father, developing a love for riding horses and barrel racing. Linda was a faithful employee of Welsco for over forty years. After her retirement, she loved to spend time with her family and friends and spoil her dog, Smokey. Linda was an avid gardener. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jody Tew and brothers, Gary and Larry Schafer.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Tew; daughter, Carmen Battisto; beloved grandson, Joseph "Drake" Fortney; brother, Joe Schafer and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Saint Rose Catholic Church in Carlisle with Father Shaun Wesley officiating. Interment will follow at Lonoke Cemetery.
