Edwin Delane Doggett

Edwin Delane Doggett, age 79, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on August 17, 2019 at his home in White Hall, Arkansas. He was born in Warren, Arkansas on September 6, 1939 to Leonard and Mable Doggett. Ed graduated from Hermitage High School in 1957 and later completed Business School in Little Rock. He was drafted into the military in 1962 where he was a Marksman and member of the 212th Signal Core. While serving his country in the U. S. Army National Guard, he married his childhood friend Mary Elizabeth Brooks on July 14, 1962. They were happily married for 57 years and had four sons. Ed spent his entire adult life in the Pine Bluff area beginning in 1965 as manager of Warehouse Foods. He later had a successful career in sales. He was a long-time member and Deacon at Oak Park Free Will Baptist Church, and was a member of Central Baptist in White Hall when he passed. He enjoyed serving his church, taking walks with his wife and spending time with his 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Michael Delane Doggett. He is survived by his wife Mary, and sons, David and his wife Brooke Doggett of White Hall; John and his wife Amber Doggett of Benton; and Doug Doggett of Jonesboro. He is survived also by two brothers, James (Betty) Doggett and Charles (Janis) Doggett of Warren. Visitation will be held at Central Baptist Church in White Hall from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 21 at 10 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in White Hall followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley FWB Church in Bradley County by Frazer's Funeral Home.
