Frances Angelina Lowell

Frances Angelina "Angela" Lowell, 93, of Rogers, Ark. passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was born October 7, 1925 in Dulce Nombre de Copan, Honduras to Modesto Guadalupe Rodriguez and Carmen Rivera. Angela was a certified teacher in Honduras before finding her calling as a nurse. She was propelled into the specialty of maternity care after discovering a newborn infant abandoned on a bathroom floor. Angela immigrated to the United States in the 1950's and settled in San Francisco, California, working as a nurse for the Union Pacific Railroad. Later, she moved to New York for other nursing work and met Allen Lowell to whom she was married and preceded her in death. Angela is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Lowell and son-in-law, Michael Spivey of Bentonville; granddaughters, Olivia Spivey of Norwalk, Connecticut and Isabella Spivey of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Laura Fijman and Carmen Saravia (ages 99 and 100!) and dozens of nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service honoring her Christian life will be held from 10:45 a.m. to noon, Saturday, August 24, 2019 at The Jackson House, 309 South Main Street in Bentonville.
