Gary Zane Hall

Gary Zane Hall of Greers Ferry died at home Aug 19th after a brave battle with cancer. He leaves a wife of 49 years Brenda Gates Hall, a daughter Teresa Marie Hall and friend Misti Barner daughter Kendyll, a sister Peggy Hall Carson husband Chris and nephew Zane Carson, "adopted" daughter Michelle Echols children Dillon and MacKenzie who called him Papa G. He was preceded in death by parents Zane Grey Hall and Charnelsa James Hall, brother Zane Grey, sister Charlotte Jean, and sister Pamela Hall Palmquist. He was born in Jonesboro on February 9, 1948. In his early years he traveled with his parents during his father's Air Force career, where they lived in Guam, Puerto Rico, Sacramento, and Washington DC. He joined the Navy in 1967 and saw many ports including Spain, Italy, and Greece. As a civilian, he became a certified electrician and owned Hall Heat and Air in Blytheville. Gary was a man of many talents and creative solutions, but mostly used his talents to help others. He was a kind and gentle man who liked to fish and loved being with his family. He was a patient teacher and had a special relationship with his nephew Zane and gave him the desire to Major in engineering. A private memorial will be held with friends and family. Special thanks to Glen Watts for being a dear friend to the Hall family and being God's servant. Also, to Melody Bradford, home health nurse, who became a supportive friend.
