Ada Lee Johnson

Ada Lee Wilson Abernathy Johnson was born March 26, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the fourth of 13 children born to Antwine and Ruby Wilson. Ada was a product of the Little Rock School System graduating Horace Mann High School in l966. Ada confessed a hop in Christ at an early age at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in (West Rock) Little Rock, Arkansas. She had since became an active and working member of New Hope Baptist Church, Greater St. John Baptist Church, Bread of Heaven Church, God With Us Church and Proximity Life Ministries. In her later years, God, in HIS infinite wisdom, blessed her as the founder of Hope Abounds Ministry where she touched and was touched by many, many, people. She worked in various companies in Little Rock including Timex, K-Mart, Smokey Hollow Foods, Staffmark and UAMS Emergency Department. Ada was preceded in death by both parents, a brother and a sister who didn't make it home from the hospital after birth; two sisters, Edna Wilson Davis and Fannie Wilson Wade of Little Rock, Arkansas, two husbands, Rufus Abernathy and Bobby Charles Johnson Sr. Ada's appointed time to die was at 1:15 a.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Ada leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Samuel Victor Abernathy of Little Rock, Arkansas and Bobby Charles Johnson Jr. of Bremerton, Washington; two daughters, Terri Diane Abernathy Bealer and Nita Lynette Abernathy both of Little Rock, Arkansas; three brothers, Ted Wilson, James Wilson and Louis Wilson all of Little Rock, Arkansas; five sisters, Shirley (Leroy) Wilson Garry, Annise (Charles) Wilson Ward, Benita (Craig) Wilson Gaynor and Karen Wilson Dykes all of Little Rock, Arkansas, Ruby (Donald) Wilson Bland of Durham, North Carolina, nine grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
