Sammie White Bachelor, 91, of Hot Springs, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019. She was born September 21, 1927 in Tyronza, Arkansas to the late Carl and Ethel White. She was predeceased by her husband, George L. Bachelor, Jr.; her parents; a sister, Elsie Lowder; and a granddaughter, Mary Rebecca Bachelor. Survivors include two sons, Latt Bachelor and his wife Terri and Carl Bachelor and his wife Phyllis; three grandchildren, Rebecca Shook and her husband Edward, Julia Bachelor and wife Paula Franco, and Robert Pope; a great-grandchild, Maia; two sisters, Jane Roualt and Anna Belle Bracey; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Katy and Jess Walt; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bachelor graduated from Marion School District and continued her education at Arkansas State Teacher's College, which is now UCA in Conway, Arkansas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hot Springs where she served on the Alter Guild and was a member of the Hot Springs Chapter of PEO. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. The family wishes to thank Lakewood Nursing Home and Arkansas Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Sammie.
