Donna Eldridge Rasco

Donna Eldridge Rasco, 80 of Benton, formally of Dermott passed away on August 26, 2019. She was born Feb 20th, 1939 to the late Howard Park and Trudy Gillcoat Eldridge of Almyra. Donna was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Hudson Rasco, son Jon Park Rasco, and sister Marilyn Eldridge Braswell. Donna graduated from Dewitt High School and attended Arkansas A and M (UAM). She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of The Dermott United Methodist Church. Donna and Bob were boyfriend and girlfriend since the 7th grade and were married for 51 years, they did everything together as a couple and as best friends. It was always Donna and Bob! She enjoyed the simple life on Rasco Farms, loved the Delta, never met a stranger, enjoyed fishing, gardening, farming and puzzles. She also was an avid reader and an exceptional VBS and Sunday school teacher. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandsons knew her as Gan. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Jo Barnett (Dr. Don Barnett) of Bryant, sister, Betty (Harold) Horton of Fayetteville, granddaughters, Kelley (Jim) Eckhart of NLR, Sarah Barnett of Benton, Hannah Barnett of Conway, great-grandsons, Cameron Crosby and James Park Eckhart; and very special nieces, Vickie Rabeneck of Fayetteville and Kim Nutt of DeWitt; along with her Furry sidekick, Boston. Graveside services will be Thursday, August 29th, at 2 p.m., at DeWitt Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home, DeWitt, Arkansas.
