George Glyndon Harris Sr.

George Glyndon Harris Sr., 77, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away August 26, 2019. He was born March 11, 1942, in Delight, Arkansas, to George Glyndon and Lydia Dessell (Avery) Harris. George was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jon Wilmer Harris. Survivors include wife of 55 years, Mary Bratton Harris; son, George Harris (Gena) of Little Rock; daughters, Cynthia McCutcheon of Hot Springs, Debbi Wingfield (Keith) of Conway; grandchildren, Lance Harris (Cecilia), Joshua McCutcheon, Caleb McCutcheon, Sydney Wingfield, Ty Wingfield, Jordon Miller, Jodie Miller; great-grandchildren, Theo, Sully, and Eben Harris; brothers, Winston Harris (Betty) of Driftwood, Texas, Winfred Harris (Qiuwei) of Pearland, Texas, Tommy Harris (Susan) of Delight, Arkansas, Walter Harris (Sandy) of Pasadena, Texas, Joe Harris (Darla) of Magnolia, Texas, Sam Harris of Pasadena, Texas; sisters, Lena Kravertz (Mike) of Dayton, Texas, Maude Irving of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. A celebration of George's life will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with Pastors John McCallum, Mike Pounders, and Paul Sanders. A gathering of friends and family will begin prior to the service at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
