Ida Mae Dunn-Adams, 90, of Little Rock transitioned peacefully into eternity Saturday, August 24, 2019. She graduated from LR Dunbar High School in 1948. She had been a member of White Memorial UMC for nearly 60 years, where she was active until her health declined. Her devotion to caring for others led her to become a nurse, and she was one of the first Black nurses hired at St. Vincent Infirmary. She served as a Girl Scout leader during her children's youth. As the sole survivor in a blended family of 13 siblings, her passing reunites her with them, her parents, and son Charles Adams. A beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor, she will be sorely missed by her son, Lemarion Adams; daughters, Joan Tollette and Stephanie Walker (Jimmy); nine grandchildren; 11 great-grands and one-on-the-way; and three great-great-grands. Funeral service for Mrs. Adams will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 31, at White Memorial, 2801 Wolfe Street. Arrangements by Premier Funeral Home, "Where Only Heaven Can Serve You Better", 1518 South Battery. Family hour 6 p.m. Friday, August 30, at the funeral home, (501) 376-4800.
