Before her retirement in 1999, Jan taught at several educational institutions including the University of Arkansas and Ramay Junior High in Fayetteville. In the years since, she and Jim have traveled the world, enjoyed winters in Florida, and spent time with their children and five grandchildren. Jan was an avid reader, theater-goer and cooked for many. Her hot rolls were the star of every meal, and her table was open to all.
A private service will be held for immediate family members, at Jan's request. Memorials in her honor can be made to Fayetteville Animal Services, American Cancer Society or Circle of Life Hospice. To sign the online guest book please visit www.nelsonberna.com.
