GEORGE MCHUGHES JR., 98, of Paron passed away December 4, 2019. He was born December 1, 1921 to the late George and Tillie McHughes. George worked with the Pulaski County Special School District at Joe T. Robinson for 28 years as a bus driver and worked in maintenance at Baker School. He was a skilled plumber and "Jack-of-all trades" and was active in the Ferndale community.
George is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha; daughter, Jeanne Williamson (Cody); son, Gerald "Jerry" McHughes; five grandchildren, Billy, Dawn, Patrick, Bryan, and Tony; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Verla and brother Everett.
Memorial service will be at Smyrna Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Burial will be at Spring Valley Cemetery, Ferndale, Ark. Guestbook at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
