Judith Ann Carter, 80, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 in Fayetteville. She was born January 21, 1939 in Vinita, Oklahoma to George Merton Raines and Dorothy LaFaye Williams Raines. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Carter; son, James Barie Carter; sister, Shirley Bradstreet; brother, Gerald Raines; son-in-law, Trent Trumbo; and great grandson, Trevor Trumbo. She is survived by her daughter, Amber Gaskill and husband David of Fayetteville; two sons, Jerry Carter of Fayetteville and Benjamin Carter of Juneau, Alaska; grandchildren, Matt Trumbo and wife Lisa, Sydney Trumbo and Alexis Trumbo; and great grandchildren, Trenton and Hayes Trumbo. Judy was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and a cherished friend to many. She loved reading, cooking, gardening and was an avid bridge player. Her first love, however, was her family. Visitation will be Saturday, December 14th at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Greg Gibson officiating. Private burial will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
