Danny Lynn Gravitt

Danny Lynn Gravitt, of Roland, passed away on December 12, 2019, at the age of 62. Danny was born on August 17, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He graduated from Parkview High School in Little Rock, Ark., and attended University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In 1976, his parents, Perry and Lillis, purchased Hackman Paint & Supply Company. Danny immediately went to work there. He helped grow the company by opening multiple stores in Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma. He was considered the backbone of the company, with knowledge of automotive refinishing second to none. It did not matter the time of the day, if a customer called, he was there for them. In addition to working alongside his family building the company, in his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, listening to country music, working outside on his land and watching sports. He lived life to the fullest and was of Baptist faith. Danny is survived by his wife, Linda Jones Gravitt, of Roland, Ark.; one son, Eric Gravitt, of Little Rock, Ark.; uncles, Willis Lokey of Prague, Okla., and Alfred Gravitt of Duncanville, Texas; brothers-in-law, Bud and his wife, Betty Jones of Savannah, Tenn., and Larry Jones of Roland, Ark.; sister-in-law, Cindy Jones of Little Rock, Ark.; bonus sisters, Mary Matthews of East End, Ark., and Geneanne (Cliff) Spann of Roland, Ark.; many other relatives and friends; and his canine companion, Sam. He is preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Lillis Gravitt; sister, Susan Gravitt Carroll; and brother-in-law, James Jones. Graveside service will be 1 p.m., Monday, December 16, at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, December 15, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.
