Mary Ellen (Richards) Dillon, age 91, of North Little Rock, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 at Springhill Baptist Hospital. She was born June 18, 1928, in Little Rock to the late Jake and Maggie Richards. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Charles Edward Dillon; sisters Francis Rodman, Carolyn Jones, and brothers Bill Richards and Charles Richards. Survivors include her daughters Sue Niven (Dick) of Dardanelle, Mary Jane Fulmer (Gary) of Columbia, South Carolina, and her sons Charles (Chuck) Edward Dillon, Jr. (Renee Toland) and Wayne (Butch) Allen Dillon (Julie Dalton), both of North Little Rock; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a role model for her family and a great example of a godly Christian wife and mother. Her love of Jesus Christ was apparent throughout her life and she willingly shared her faith with those she came in contact with. She taught Sunday School classes, bible studies and in later years was active in ministering to nursing home residents. She was a very gifted musician and for many years quite active in the choirs at the various churches to which she belonged. She loved to read the Bible and prepare for the classes she would teach. A graveside service will be held at 9 a.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at the Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave., North Little Rock, Ark. 72120.
