Betty Jean Baugh Puckett of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 18, 1931 in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Raymond Eugene and Willie Baugh. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan, Puckett Hunting Club and was a graduate of Sheridan High School. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, sewing, quilting, and crocheting. Betty had a caring and compassionate heart. She was raised by her grandparents, after her mother died shortly after giving birth to her. She loved her family dearly and was a caregiver to whoever was in need. Ms. Puckett passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019 in Sheridan at the age of 88. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dewayne Puckett. Survivors: son, Gary Wayne Puckett (James Pate) of Sheridan; daughters, Sherry (Billy) Ables of Sheridan, Pam Walden of Sherwood; grandchildren, Missy (Terry) Mosley, Angie (Todd) Riggan, Carrie (Danny) Wilkins, Mandy (Dan) Floyd, Bryan Walden; great-grandchildren, Alicia Mosley, Devon Mosley, Erin (Austin) Williams, Emilee Riggan, Kylee Wilkins, Dylan Craven, Reese Craven and Ryder Walden and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Terry Williams and Bro. Vance Nutt officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
