Teola Bendy

Teola Bendy, 80, of Fordyce Ark. passed away on December 14, 2019 at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. where she was surrounded by close Family. She was born to the Late L.T. Nelson Sr, and Minnie Ola Nelson of Smackover, Ark. She was preceded in death by both Parents, her Late husband Otis Bendy and one brother Lonnie Nelson. She was a Graduate of the Smackover Training School Class of 1958. She later moved to California where she worked for many years and Retired from Sharpe Credit Union of Stockton, Calif. After retirement she decided to move back to Arkansas where she and her late husband made Fordyce, Ark. their home. While living in Fordyce she became a member of the "Elegant Ladies" and the Fordyce Civitan Club. She is survived by her three sons, Cedric (Linda) Goodwin, Smackover, Ark., Dwight Goodwin, Russellville, Ark.; Thomas (Nicole) Lenor, stepdaughter, Charlotte Bendy, Stockton, Calif.; one sister, Loretta (Keith) Cotton of Fordyce, Ark., two brothers, L.T. Nelson, Smackover, Ark.; Lawrence (Janice)Nelson, Little Rock, Ark. one sister in law April Nelson, Smackover, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, Laquita Dumas, Pensacola, FL, Erica (Ben) Florence, Atlanta, Ga.; Julian (Chris) English, Nashville, Tenn.; Jeffrey (Yurki) Lee, Fort Hood, Texas, Thomas, James, Tobiana, Justice, & Tamberlynn, Lenor,Tony and Jason all of Stockton, Calif.; 12 great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, dousins and friends.
