Deborah (Debby) Uhiren Welch, 68, died December 16, 2019 in Bentonville. Debby was born on October 27, 1951 in Little Rock, the daughter of Bill and Gloria Bujarski Uhiren of Carlisle. Debby is survived by her husband, Bill Welch; her siblings, Peggy (Curt) Moody of Carlisle; Fred Uhiren of Hazen; and Joan Woodruff of Little Rock; her children, Chris Paladino of Little Rock; Michael (Leslie) Paladino of Bentonville; step-children Brad (Kay) Welch, Joe (Bonnie) Welch, Kelly (David) Eggebeen, and Brian (Ileana) Welch; her grandchildren, Gabby and Peter Paladino; several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Debby is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Gloria Bujarski Uhiren. Diagnosed with Type I Diabetes at age 9, Debby felt the need to make the most of every day. When she received a heart transplant at 51, she again recognized that every day was a gift. That heart gave her another 17 years of full life. Debby and husband, Bill, enjoyed 26 years of marriage. She loved spending time with her siblings and her family. She was able to watch her two sons grow into men in whom she took great pride, and she was able to watch her grandkids grow while leaving her imprint on them. Debby loved to bake and to watch others enjoy her cakes, cookies, and candies that she couldn't eat herself. She was an immensely strong woman who lived her life to the fullest and lived her last days surrounded by the family she loved. Services to honor and celebrate the life of Debby will be held on December 20 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Bentonville. A Rosary will take place at 2:00pm followed by Visitation, and the Funeral Mass will be at 3 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. www.CallisonLoughFH.com.
