Douglas Grant Eckman

Douglas Grant Eckman, 70, of Hensley, Arkansas passed away on December 17, 2019. He was born to the late Frank and Lola Eckman on August 31, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky. Doug was a very avid reader and a fan of western movies, especially John Wayne. He was known as being kind and compassionate and spending time with his family was one of his favorite things to do. Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Betty Eckman; one daughter, Susan Martin; and one son-in-law, Mike Martin. He is survived by one son, Charles (Mindy) Eckman; two daughters, Patricia Ponder and Connie (Steve) Pierce; six grandchildren, Tina Pierce, Brandi Smith, Jason Pierce, Nick Whitaker, Garrett Eckman and Mike Martin, Jr.; great-grandchildren; Brittany Pierce and Kamron Pritchard; two brothers, James Eckman and Dennis Eckman; and one sister, Donna Montague. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
