Carolyn Sadler Moore

Carolyn Sadler Moore, 93, passed away Friday, Dec. 20, 2019. Carolyn was the daughter of the late C.R. and Effie Sadler. Although she had resided the last several years in the Bella Vista, Ark., area she always considered Stuttgart to be home. She was born in Clarksville, Ark., on Aug. 14, 1926. The family moved to Stuttgart shortly after her arrival. Carolyn graduated from Stuttgart High School and graduated salutatorian from Hendrix College in Conway. While attending college she met a young sailor, back home from WWII, Edward Lee Moore. They met, fell in love and married all while attending college. After graduation they moved back to Stuttgart. Carolyn taught music and organ lessons, played piano and organ at her life-long church, First United Methodist, taught kindergarten in her home, sold real estate with Trice Reality and was an ace bridge player! Carolyn and Ed were both only children, so…they had four daughters: Lee Green (Oscar) of Stuttgart, Lynn Runnels (Tommy) of Bella Vista, Kay Bridges (Tommy) of Statesville, N.C., and Beth Voss (Jody) of Benton, La. She had eight grandchildren: Jennifer G. Poston, Rebecca R. Crotts, Lindsey R. Crafton, Carolyn B. Cochran, Ashley B. Bess, Alex Bridges, Travis Voss, and Catherine Voss; 11 great-grandchildren: Jax, Hendrix and David Poston, Roxy and R.J. Crotts, Layla, Lennox and Landrey Crafton, Jessa and Owen Cochran, and Madilyn Bess; and one great-great-granddaughter, Envy. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years; and a great-great-grandson, Luke. Visitation for Carolyn will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, with funeral services following a 2 p.m. at Turpin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery.
