Steven Lynn Eiler, 71, of Bentonville, Ark., died Monday, December 16, 2019, at Circle of Life, Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was born July 27, 1948, in Butler, Mo., to Jack Eiler and Juanita Mae Smith Eiler. He was an avid golfer, having worked as a pro for nearly 20 years at the Bella Vista Country Club and the main course at Holiday Island. Steve was also a real estate agent and manager of customer services for MSI in support of Sam's Club. Steve loved being on the golf course with his friends, relaxing at the beach and trying to win his next fortune at the casino. He was a great caregiver, and spent much of his retirement lovingly looking after ailing friends. That caring spirit followed him wherever he went, as coworkers, clerks and neighbors became members of his ever-extending family. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John "Bubba" Eiler. Steve is survived by two sons, Matt Eiler and wife, Carolyn of Fayetteville, Ark., Chad Eiler and wife, Cindy of Bentonville, Ark.; their mother, Susan Eiler, who lovingly cared for Steve during his illness; two grandchildren, Bailey and Gracie Eiler; his brother, Don Eiler and wife, Kim of Eureka Springs, Ark.; three nephews, Nick, Chris, and Jared Eiler and one niece, Natalie Ramsey. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers with Tim Summers officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time.
