Earnie Calvin Ferrell

Earnie Calvin Ferrell, age 93, passed away at his home at Godfrey Place, Ark. on December 22, 2019. He was born to his late parents Gresham Ferrell and Onie Rainey Ferrell on May 24, 1926. He was an elder of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Johnsville, Ark., a graduate of Vick, AR High School, a lifelong tomato farmer, and a past member of the Hermitage, Ark. tomato board and former owner of Ferrell's saw shop in Warren, Ark. Mr. Ferrell is survived by his wife of 71 years, Earline Garrett Ferrell and two daughters, Angie Ferrell Najarian and spouse Mike of Seabrook,Texas and Pam Ferrell of Monticello, Ark. He is also survived by a grandson, Tyler Najarian of Seabrook, Texas, and a brother, Billy Joe Ferrell and sister-in-law, Yvonne Ferrell of Johnsville, Ark. Preceding him in death were a brother, Troy Ferrell and sister-in-law, Sylvia Baker Ferrell and two sisters, Margaret Ferrell Munford and brother-in-law, Ben T. Munford, and Joyce Ferrell Hargis and brother-in-law, Carl Hargis. Mr. Ferrell took great pride in watching his tomato plants grow. Also, he enjoyed seeking advice from other farmers on how to grow a better crop for the coming year. Funeral services will be held at Frazer's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday December 26, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Wayman Mann and Rev. Robert Green who will officiate the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Johnsville. Active pallbearers are Eddie Ferrell, Jim Anders, Dennis Hays, Mike Najarian, Tyler Najarian, and Lance Ferrell. Honorary pallbearers include Charles Ferrell, Kenneth Ferrell, Sonny Rainey, Donny Lowry, Glyn Ferrell, Eddie Joe Garrett, Rick Garrett, Larry Earhart, Larry Hargis, Kim Hargis, Reggis Hargis, Donnie Munford, Randy Clanton, Bobby Butler, Clay Lowry, Chris Anders, T.J. Moran, Gifford Godfrey, Curtis Blankenship, Jr. Max Courtney, and Carroll Temple. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the many friends and relatives who blessed us at this time and to Bradley County Home Health for their excellent care.
