Odie Joe Tresner, 81, of Bella Vista passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born June 18, 1938 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Orlando Hudson and Virginia Ruth Chesser Tresner.
Odie was a locksmith who owned and operated his own locksmith business with his wife Phyllis for 17 years before retiring. He served honorably in the United States Navy and loved to ride motorcycles and play golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lova Deaver and two brothers, Robert Tresner and Quannah Tresner. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Tresner of the home; three sons, Kyle Tresner and wife Laura of Utah, Shawn Tresner and wife Stephanie of Georgia and Dennis Tresner and wife Mary of Alaska; three daughters, Anita Kay of Utah, Susan Turley of California and Janet Hornberger and husband Martin of Springdale; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale with Pastor Mark Krause officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the church.
