Phillip Ray Embry, age 68, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, December 21, 2019, in Fayetteville. He was born March 27, 1951 at Camp Chaffee, Ark., the son of Delmar and Frances Cross Embry.
He was a graduate of and taught for the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He also served in the United States Air Force as a Missile Launch Officer.
He is survived by a sister, Shirley Neese and her husband Franklin; two nephews, Johnny and David Neese; a niece, Tracey Neese; a grand-niece, Kelsey Neese; two grand-nephews, Tyler and Jordan Neese; two great-grand-nephews, Grayson and Oliver Neese, all of Sierra Vista, Ariz.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2019, at Moore's Chapel. Graveside service will be 11a.m., Monday at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with military honors.
