Carolyn Anthony Murphy

Carolyn Anthony Murphy, 82 of El Dorado, Ark.; passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at her home. Carolyn was born on March 5, 1936 in El Dorado; she was the daughter of Beryl Anthony Sr. and Oma Lee Roark Anthony. She was a school teacher in Richmond, Texas at Calvary Episcopal Church School; was over the literacy program at Anthony Forest Products and enjoyed yardwork and birdwatching in her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Lee Anthony and a sister Patsy Sue Giles and grandson Noah Wenger. Survivors are a son Stephen Murphy (Kelli) of El Dorado; daughters Caron Murphy of Houston, Texas, and Katy Murphy of El Dorado; brother Beryl Anthony Jr. (Shelia) of Palm City, Fla.; grandchildren Ryan, Kayla, Lindsey, Marcus, Benjamin and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 4, 2017 in the Chapel at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 210 N.
