A faithful member of Second Presbyterian Church since 1957, she served her church in many capacities: as elder, clerk of the Session, librarian, Committee Chair of Education and Stewardship committees, and president of Presbyterian Women at her home church and at the Presbytery level. She also served on the stewardship committee and the permanent judicial commission of the Presbytery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd McCain, and her twin sister, Anne Davis Toppins. Survivors include her son Davis McCain and wife Jenny, of Memphis; daughter Marian McCain Olson and husband Jeff, of Durham, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Adrienne McNair and husband John, Lloyd Olson, Carter Olson, and Stella McCain; and one great-granddaughter, Lowell Carter McNair.
