Terry Dale Chambers

Terry Dale Chambers, 62, of Sherwood, passed away on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at UAMS in Little Rock. Terry was born in Little Rock in 1956 and grew up in Central Arkansas, where he graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in 1975. Terry was the owner and operator of Chambers and Son Trucking and had been in the trucking business for over 40 years. Terry was a very kind and giving man and gave generously to those in need. He was a man who absolutely loved his grandchildren and spoiled them as often as he could. He loved spending time around one of his fishing ponds with friends and family, fishing and enjoying life. To all of his many friends and family, Terry will be greatly missed as he was a huge part of their lives. He is survived by his wife, Thersia, of 44 years; two daughters, Christina (Jeff) and Misty; one son, Terry, Jr.; six grandchildren, Spencer, Benjamin, Brooklynn, Caelynn, Aislynn and Oakley; one sister, Sandi; and by three brothers, Jamie, Fred and William. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Floretta and W.T. Chambers; sister, Shari Fortson; and by son-in-law, Larry Dean. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m., and funeral services on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m., both at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills. Entombment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
