John Irving Hilton, aged 90, of Springdale passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019. He was born December 21, 1928 in Haleyville, Alabama to John Irvin Hilton and Velma Jones Hilton. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Joanna Rice. He was a retired Army Sargent and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Hilton, eight daughters, Carol Briggs (Bob) of Elma, Wash., Cindy Armstrong (David) of Centerton, Ark., Michelle Hankins (Keith) of Russellville, Ark. and Ashley Rawls (Matt) of Sherman, Texas, Jennifer Kay Reynolds of Calfiornia, Dolly Wynita Sargent (Jan) of Washington, Beverly Hughes (Mike) of Farmington, Ark., Kathy Reynolds of Calfiornia, nine sons, David Graves (Linda) of Hindsville, Ark., Daniel Hilton of Springdale, Ark., Johnnie Hilton (Lynne) of Olympia, Wash., Floyd Micheal Hilton (Debra) of Bella Vista, Ark., Kenneth D. Hilton of Springdale, Ark., James R. Hilton (Danielle) of Springdale, Ark., Bobby Hilton of Austin, Texas and special friend Christina Salmona of Fayetteville, Ark., Robert Hilton (Truty) of Calfiornia, Michael Wayne Hilton of Calfiornia, one sister, Kellen Bates of Bear Creek, Ala., one brother, Lexie Hilton of Jasper, Ala. He is also survived by his 40 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 8th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A service will be held on Saturday, February 9th at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with a burial to follow with Full Military Honors at Oakland Cemetery in Fayetteville.
