Lee Ann Stuart Barksdale of Benton, loving mother and Grammy, went to be with the Lord February 5, 2019. Lee Ann was born to Mildred and Evert Stuart June 18, 1955 in El Dorado, Arkansas. Lee Ann spent her life working hard. After her retirement from Anderson News Company, she fulfilled a lifelong dream to graduate from college. Missing the world of work, Lee Ann returned to work during tax seasons for Liberty Tax, where she worked with a great group of what would become dear friends. Lee Ann always loved to knit and enjoyed coming up with her own color schemes. She enjoyed reading Scripture. She also loved watching old shows and ball games on TV or reading. She spent years enjoying traveling with work. She very much enjoyed keeping up with family and friends on her computer or meeting to go out to eat. But most of all, she loved her kids and being a Grammy to her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved spending time shopping with them, playing games, or just talking about their lives. Lee Ann loved music and goofing off and dancing with the grandkids. She will always be known for coming up with the dance the kids named "The Grammy." She will be missed terribly. She was preceded in death by her father, Evert, her mother, Mildred, and an older sister, Polly, who died shortly after birth. She is survived by her children, Amber Daugherty (Kevin) and Donny Barksdale; grandchildren, Kalyn Daugherty Adkins (Brad), Keeton Dozier, Cara Dozier, Brad Daugherty and Paul Daugherty; and great-grandchildren, Adalyn and Wyatt. She also leaves behind on this earth two sisters, Judy Fowler and Paula Warren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A service will be held on Saturday, February 9 at 10 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), (501) 224-2200. Dave Woodman will officiate. Lee Ann's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
