Frances Mason, 97, of Springdale passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at Katherine's Place in Fayetteville. She was born July 10, 1921, in Monroe, Texas, to John and Elizabeth Bowley Srader. Frances made friends everywhere she went and never met a stranger. She was fierce in her religious belief and taking care of anyone in need. Frances left her mark on many people; family, friends, caretakers and even new acquaintances. She had a passion for music, singing and spreading the gospel. Frances was Pentecostal but visited many churches, testifying and playing music. She played the organ and bass guitar. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Mason, to whom she was married Dec. 22, 1954, in Collinsville, Okla.; one sister; three brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Fox and husband Glen of Panama City Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Shelley Courdin and husband Ted of Fayetteville, Suzanne West of Springdale and Jacob Scott of Springdale; seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Forest Srader of Roswell, N.M. Graveside services will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
