Alma Emerson Barnes, 94, of Springdale passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born March 13, 1924 in Woolum, Arkansas to Robert and Oma Dale Emerson. Alma was a bookkeeper and worked for International Paper. She spent her entire life in the service of others. She was a great mom, granny and great granny. She lived for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Eber Barnes, her parents, one daughter, Brenda Joyce, one son, Larry Barnes, one brother Alton, one sister Viva and one granddaughter, Amanda. Survivors include Gary Barnes and wife Apryl of Louisiana; one brother, Royce Jones and wife Patsy of Springdale; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
