Dorothy Lucille Stacks

Dorothy Lucille Sims Stacks of East End, Arkansas, was born January 11, 1939 at Warren, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Clayton Holland Sims and Martha Louis McGhee Sims. She was a member of Marlow Missionary Baptist Church, and was a professional seamstress for many years. From cooking, to traveling, to singing, or fishing, she enjoyed staying active, and making memories with her family. Her greatest joy was being a loving wife for 60 years, a mom who was incredibly proud of her children, and being "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who in her unbiased opinion, were the best in the world. Mrs. Stacks died Sunday, February 10, 2019 at her home in East End, at the age of 80. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, and another brother, Raymond Carroll Sims. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Lynn Stacks of East End; son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Rhonda Stacks of Norfork; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Lynne and Chris House of East End; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Judy Sims of Dover; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Mack Johnson of Calmer; grandchildren, Jessica Stacks, Joseph (Elizabeth) Stacks, T.K. (Bryan) Roseberry, Judith (Matt) Little, Brittney (Sam) Delacruz; great grandchildren, Paula, Julieanne, Alyson, Clayton, Holland, Cara,Dalton, Gibbons, Grayson, Sawyer. She is also survived by a host of other family members and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Marlow Missionary Baptist Church in the Ico Community, with Bro. Joseph Stacks, Bro. Gary Moore, Bro. Chris Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery at East End. Visitation is Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.
