Virgil Lynn Carmical passed away on February 9, 2018. He was born on February 1, 1942 to Jesse Wilson Carmical and Flora Mavis Loux Carmical of Cabot.
In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Judy Douglas Carmical; infant children Daren and Karen Carmical; and sister Sharon Taylor of Cabot. His is survived by his son, Kevin Carmical of Conway; daughter, Becky Bridges and her husband Rick of Jacksonville; grandsons, Brandon Bridges of Jacksonville, Tyler Bridges and his wife Katelyn of Jacksonville and Chad and wife Jenny Bridges of Cabot and their children, Christopher and Juliana. He is also survived by his loving companion of more than eight years, Zelma Dicus Hicks of Cabot and Lubbock, Texas; great-aunt, Geneva Loux Hall; sister, Deborah Mahurin-Rettstatt of Cabot; brother-in-law, Bobby Taylor and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Freva and Buck Johnson of Cabot.
Lynn was raised in the Bayou Meto area of North Pulaski County, graduating from Sylvan Hills High School in 1960. After graduation, Lynn began his career and became both an Electrician and an Electrical Lineman, obtaining Journeyman licenses in both areas. He was a lifetime member of IBEW Local 295. After working as in electrician through IBEW, he began his career as a lineman for First Electric Cooperative in Jacksonville in May 1971 until his retirement February 2004. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot were he had served as a Deacon. He and Judy enjoyed camping with friends and family, listening to bluegrass music, and watching whatever events their children and grandsons were involved in.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot. Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Church. Burial will follow at Sumner Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
