Vernon Lee Rice Sr.

Vernon Lee Rice Sr., 68, of Sheridan passed away February 12, 2019. He was born May 12, 1950 in Woodson, Ark. to the late Murle E. and Billie Jo "Topsy" Rice. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce Rice; and son, Vernon L. Rice, Jr.; his two brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his daughter, Rena McInturff (Kevin); stepchildren, Polly Ransom and David Carmon; brother, Billy Ray Rice; sister, Joyce Isom (Hubert); grandchildren, Brittney Bumgardner (Josh), Lakin Baker (Jason), Jimmie Woodard, Steven Woodard, Tiffany Ransom and Brandi Carmon; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who loved the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211 with Brother Ben Jones officiating.
