Dorothy Juanita Curry

Dorothy Juanita Curry, age 95, passed away to her Eternal home on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. She was born in Conway, AR, to the late Wylie Enoch Perry and Mary Catherine Perry. She was the youngest of 10 children, all have proceeded her in death. Juanita worked as a teacher for 18 years with the Head Start Program in Granite Mountain. She is survived by: two daughters, Patricia Plummer White (Booker), Detroit, Mich. and Brenda Curry Gillespie, Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren, Benjamin B. Speight (Natasha), Detroit, Mich., Lynette K. Vinson, Dallas, Texas and Jennifer R. Gillespie, Southaven, Miss.; one grandchild, Corey Speight, proceeded her in death. Juanita has 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother-in-law, Billy Ray McJimpson, Los Angeles, Calif., two sisters-in-law, Bernice McJimpson, Little Rock, Ark., Lenora Hopkins, Memphis, Tenn., and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17th, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St., Little Rock, Ark. (501) 372-1305. The funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 18th, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church 2501 Main St. Little Rock, Ark. Interment follows at Roselawn Cemetery.
