Warren Lee Strickland Jr.

Rev. Warren Lee Strickland Jr., age 85, of Dermott, Ark., departed this life Feb. 16th. He was a graduate of AM&N College, now UAPB Pine Bluff, with a degree in General Science. He did 25 years teaching and coaching including 5 years in administration with McGehee High School. He was Pastor of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, McGehee, Ark. for 27 years until he accepted the Pastoral duties at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Dermott, Ark. and served 17 one half years. His memories will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. M. Davis "Peaches" Strickland; one son, Dr. Warren L. Strickland III (Isabella); one brother, John Strickland; one sister, Mrs. Gail Strickland Woolfork; four grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Family hour Thursday, Feb. 21st at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 119 North Knox St., Dermott, Ark. Time: 6-7 p.m. Funeral services Friday, Feb. 22nd at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Time: 11 a.m.
