Gladys Marie Mason

Gladys Marie Mason, 74, of Ward, passed away February 20, 2019 in Searcy. She was born January 15, 1945 in Amarillo, Texas to the late Paul and Fredora Bannon Johnson. Gladys was the secretary for the Art Department at Harding University for several years and a member of the American Legion Post 71 Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Barbie Johnson and grandchildren, Ted Robert, Karissa Re' and Madison Rose. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Mason; daughter, Dawn Renee (Rodney) Bennet of Blytheville; son, Ted R. (Brenda) Mason of Dexter, Missouri; grandchildren, Andrew and Luke Ethan Mason, Jerami, Jaselyn and Jadyn Bennett; half-sister, Lisa Johnson Fallee of Colorado; brother, Paul Raymond Johnson of Texas and niece, Calista Johnson. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Southside Church of Christ with Brother Alex Meredith officiating.
