Allen Earl Daniel, age 80, transitioned from this life to life eternal with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 20, 2019. He was born to Thomas Remmell and Thelma (Cole) Daniel in Little Rock, Arkansas. Allen loved life and fought a long, hard battle the last few years of his life. He made friends easily everywhere he went and was always ready to help anyone in need. At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Navy. Allen served for nine years, spending six years on the U.S.S. Helena (CA-75), one year on U.S.S. Forrestal (CV-59), and two years state-side in Fallon, Nevada. After serving his country, he worked in the transportation business. Allen retired from ABF Freight Systems after 13 years of management and sales. Allen was preceded in death by his parents and adopted son, Randy Kellar. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Mary A. Daniel; sons, Kenny Daniel (Tina), Tim Daniel (Sondra); daughters, Suzette Anderson (Bruce), Rebecca Dorris (David); twelve grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Daniel (Kathy), Kenneth Daniel; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. A celebration of Allen's life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel in Hot Springs with Rev. Windel Magar, Rev. Doug Kincannon, and Rev. Ben Best officiating. Burial and military honors will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Pallbearers include Nick Daniel, Nathan Probst, Harrison Daniel, Tyler Reed, Nick Reed, Brad Daniel, and Larry Wayne Daniel. Honorary pallbearers are J.O. Burris, Dr. Gregory Whorton, Nurse Linda, and the Nursing Staff at CHI St. Vincent 2 East. Guests may register at www.caruth-hale.com.
