Robert Conrad Redus Jr, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of 60. He was born October 17, 1958 to Robert C. and Virdie L. Redus in Little Rock, Arkansas. He graduated from the Arkansas School for the Blind in 1977. After receiving his Bachelor's in Theology from the Missionary Baptist Seminary, he was ordained as a Missionary Baptist Minister at Unity Missionary Baptist Church in 1983. Upon completing his training at the World Services for the Blind, he moved to Richardson, Texas where he began his career with the Federal Government. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service in December of 2017 after 30 years of service. He was a long-time member and former pastor of Golden Meadows Baptist Church. Robert loved his family and studying God's word. He decided to go to Mexico to serve the Lord by teaching at the Seminary. He loved Mexico, the food, the weather, but most of all his 'beautiful' church family. He was a friend to all, he served others, he was generous, and had a great sense of humor. 'Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints." Psalm 116:15. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Conrad Redus Sr. He is survived by his mother, Virdie L. Redus and siblings Cat French (Steve Becker), Carolyn Korte ('Jethro'), Richard Redus and Rebecca Redus; His children, Gina Semrau (Chris), Robert C. Redus III (Melanie); his four grandchildren, Jason, Sophia, Cameron, and Jett; Alexis Black who he loved like a grandchild, and cherished friend, Vivian Wang. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 1, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Williams Funeral Home located at 1600 S. Garland Ave., Garland, Texas 75040. Visitation will be held, Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to Love Truth Care Ministries, P.O. Box 164660, Little Rock, Arkansas 72216.
