Marilyn Sue Necessary

Marilyn Sue Downing Necessary of Rogers passed away on February 26, 2019. She was born on October 25, 1937 in Liberty, Mo. to the late Ellis Hugh and Juanita Brawner Downing. Marilyn will be remembered as a woman who cherished her family. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Marilyn always rooted for the Razorbacks and, since the mid-1960s, enjoyed tailgating with friends and family. She was a faithful member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. She deeply loved her Lord Jesus Christ, and now she rests in His arms. Her survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, James Necessary; her children, Mike Necessary of Rogers, Pat Necessary-Jones (Mark) of Crowley, La., Jeff Necessary (Jennifer) of Bentonville, Cindy Necessary Mycka (Rich) of Fayetteville, Kevin Necessary (Denise) of Rogers, Brian Necessary (Vikki) of Fayetteville; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A rosary service will be conducted at 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 28 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Visitation will follow from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. Burial will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
