Donna Eloise Martin

Donna Eloise Martin, 89, of Jacksonville passed from this life on Monday, December 31, 2018. She was born Monday, May 27, 1929 in Bastrop, Louisiana to the late Harvey and Ida Anthony Holdiness. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Lions Club International, the past President of the North Metro Medical Center Auxiliary Association, and had served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She enjoyed square dancing, painting, and was an avid and accomplished crafter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan James Martin; son, Scott Martin; siblings, Fannie, Tommie, Minnie, Harvey, James and Richard Holdiness. Survivors include daughter, Kathy Graves of Little Rock; son, Steven Martin of Ouzinkie, Alaska; and step-son, David Martin of Kenner, Louisiana. Other survivors include several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; along with extended family and friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Pastor Chase Burns officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be 2 p.m., to 4 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
