Erma Lynn (Breashears) Venable, age 77, born May 5, 1941 passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018. She was a long time resident of Springdale, AR, but was raised in Vian, Okla. and graduated from Vian High School. She married Lewis Venable and then attended cosmotology school before opening her own hair salon. Erma had three children and moved to Springdale where she went to work for Southwestern Bell, the company she eventually retired from. She loved her faith and was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church. She had too many interests to list all of them, but she was a handyman extraordinaire and loved reading mysteries, cooking, sewing, painting and taking care of her dogs, Turbo, Bella and Maddy. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, William L. "Lewis" Venable, III; her daughter, Mary Sue Venable; half sister, Patty Ann Pasquarett; parents, Glenna (Duty) and Gary Breashears and her grandparents, Bessie (Littlejohn) and Walter Breashears. She is survived by two children, William L. "Bill" Venable IV and his wife, Josephine of Tulsa, Okla. and Michele R. Smith and her husband, Steven of Broken Arrow, Okla.; four grandchildren, Rocky, Vanessa, William V. "Quint" and Courtney; 12 great-grandchildren, Rocky, Sylvanna, Tiana, Natalia, Analise, Gunner, Layla, Emery, Jesse, Lilah, Clara and soon to be born William VI "Liam". Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw, Okla.
