Wadena Sue Ramsey

Wadena Sue Wallace Ramsey, age 80, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, died December 31st, 2018. She was born January 3, 1938, in DesArc, Arkansas to the late Hubert Earl Wallace and Laney Neoma Duncan Wallace. She was united in marriage to Johnny Calvin Ramsey on June 16, 1956 at Morris Chapel Baptist Church in Des Arc. Mrs. Ramsey lived her Christian faith through her life and was an active lifelong member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock. She loved to read, sew, and spend time with family and friends. She was involved in many church activities such as Tuesday night dominoes, Ladies auxiliary and working in the nursery. She also worked at Mother's Day Out at Levy Baptist Church. Her love of cooking was not limited to just family, she cooked Wednesday night dinners at Faith Baptist Church for more than 25 years, contributed to church cookbooks, and organized pot-luck suppers. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Pearl Geraldean Wallace Humphries and brother-in-law, Adrian Layne Humphries, brother, Troy Allen "TA" Wallace, brothers-in-law,Thomas Ramsey, J.H. Ramsey, Jimmy Dale Ramsey, William "Bill" Ramsey, Fred L. Ramsey and Danny Ramsey, and sisters-in-law, Jefferene Hoofman, Bobbie Moncrief and Patsy Martin. She is survived by three sons, Johnny Ray Ramsey and daughter-in-law Debbie Darling Ramsey of Little Rock, Ronnie Earl Ramsey and daughter-in-law Bonni Massey Ramsey of North Richland Hills, Texas, Roger Dean Ramsey of North Little Rock, a daughter, Ronda Sue Ramsey May and son-in-law Elden May of North Little Rock, one brother Howard Wallace and sister-in-law Gail Wallace of Hazen, one sister Carolyn Wallace Schmidt and brother-in-law Bob Schmidt of North Little Rock, and sisters-in-law Wanda Barlow Wallace of Des Arc. A memorial visitation will be held in the dining hall of the Family Life Center from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, January 3rd at Faith Missionary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be held at Noon on Friday, January 4th at Morris Chapel Baptist Church in Des Arc, Ark. with Funeral Service following at 1 pm officiated by Pastors Jeff Hulsizer and Charles Law. Burial will follow at Hazen Cemetery, Hazen, Ark. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Morris Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund, 2826 Highway 249 North, Hazen, Arkansas 72064.
