SAMUEL "LIL SAM" PETTIS JR., 57, of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life January 4. He was preceded in death by: father, Samuel Pettis Sr.; mother, Jessie Mae Pettis; grandmother, Ruthie McKenzie; grandfather, Jessie Scott. He leaves to cherish his memory: siblings, James L. Pettis of Olive Branch, Miss.; Barbara (Michael) Hurvey of LR, Sharon (Gregory) Hampton of Cedar Hill, Texas, Debra Pettis of NLR, Shirley (Derwin) Eackles of Snellville, Ga., Marlon (Michelle) Pettis of San Antonio, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
