Jim E. Fortson

Jim "Slug" Fortson, 80, of Morrilton went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 8, 2019. He was born March 13, 1938 in Conway, to the late Sara Mae Fortson. Jim was a member of the Pleasant Springs Baptist Church in Birdtown. He enjoyed wood work, fishing, and eating catfish. Jim retired from the Paper Mill in Morrilton after 34 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Joyce C. Fortson, three daughters, Ruby Bolding, Mary (Jimmy) Ingram and Martha Burns, sons, Jerry (Evelyn) Baird, Paul A. (Margaret) Shock, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many more family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gwen Fortson. Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2019 from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
