Mary A. Fallis

Ms. Mary A. Fallis, 88, of Wynne, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at her home. Mary was born in Eudora, Arkansas on January 27, 1930, to the late John David Cook and Lila Castleman Cook. She graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College (Currently UCA-Conway) with a BSE in Elementary Education. In 1951, she married, Thomas J. Fallis, they raised three children, Sharon, Thomas Dale and Gail. She was a teacher, homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church of Wynne. She is survived by her children, Sharon Fallis Midkiff (James) of Wynne, Dr. Thomas Dale Fallis (Tish) of Cabot, Gail Fallis Tackett (Audie) of Anahuac, Texas, brother, John D. Cook (Peggy) of Russellville, grandchildren, Bill Midkiff (Lindsay) of Wynne, Kyle Midkiff (Brooke), April Key (Michael) of Beach City, Texas, Andrew Tackett (Sophie) of Dayton, Texas, Erin Stanton (John Eric) of Conway, Blake Vickers (Ashley) of Cabot and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Fallis, parents, John D. and Lila Cook and sister, Vivian Herbert. Visitation will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Dr. Reverend Glenn Pettus will officiate. Burial will be in Cogbill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Thomas J. and Mary A.
